Pan con tomate
My favourite thing about the Spanish cuisine is the simplicity. To me, pan con tomate is the perfect example of this simplicity. Bread, garlic, tomato, olive oil and salt, these 5 ingredients make an amazing breakfast or appetizer. Using beautiful and high quality products really take this recipe to the next level.
Ingredients
Thick slice of toast

Garlic clove

Tomato

Extra virgin olive oil

Salt
1tsp
Chives (optional)

Directions
- Drizzle 1 tbsp of EVOO on your slices of toast and grill in a hot pan on both side.
- Grate your tomato until the skin is the only thing that is left. Sift the tomato puree to get rid of the watery part. Mix the tomato with salt, the rest of the olive oil and mix.
- When your toast is nicely charred on both sides, take of the heat and rub the garlic on the bread. Spread the tomato mixture on the bread and sprinkle with chives. Serve and enjoy.
